Coastal Jefferson Parish storm history

Temperatures were below freezing for approximately 60 hours from the evening of January 20th through the afternoon of January 23rd. The coldest period was the morning of January 22nd when air temperatures and wind chills dropped to around 10 to 15 degrees across the parish.

Francine also produced widespread tropical-storm-force winds with isolated reports of hurricane-force gusts. These winds downed trees and power lines and resulted in scattered, mostly minor structural damage.

Multiple days of high tides impacted the parish with many roads inundated across the island of Grand Isle. LA 1 was closed at times and a car was submerged along the highway after it drove into a ditch.
