Based on gauge data, storm surge inundation of 1 to 3 feet likely occurred in areas outside of the federal levee system, with the greatest impacts around the Shell Beach area.

A few tropical storm force gusts were measured across the parish, but no significant impacts were reported.

Delta produced occasional tropical storm force wind gusts across the parish. The Belle Chasse ASOS reported a peak gust of 46 mph.

Minor to moderate storm surge inundation occurred across Upper St. Bernard Parish with many NOS and USACE observations reporting between 4.14 ft MHHW and 5.28 ft NAVD88 inundation levels across the area.

Impacts to portions of the parish were the result of storm surge and affected areas outside the HSDRRS Levees. USACE observation BDML1 at Bayou Dupree measured peak inundation of 5.92 feet NAVD88 on the 15th at 13:00 CDT.

Mesonet station XBYU Bayou Bienvenue measured a peak wind gust of 68 mph from Post-Tropical Storm Olga.

A few tropical storm wind gusts occurred in upper St Bernard Parish. A 37 knot (43 mph) wind gust was reported at the Weatherflow site at Bayou Bienvenue. No significant impacts were noted.

Frequent tropical storm force gusts were reported across the parish. A maximum gust of 37 knots, or 43 mph, was measured by the Belle Chasse NAS ASOS (KNBG) at 8:43 pm CST on the 21st.

A mixture of light rain, light freezing rain and sleet occurred. Some elevated roadways and bridges had icing.

Minor flooding occurred outside of the hurricane protection levees.

Numerous power outages across parish from strong winds on backside of rain shield.

Hurricane Gustav affected around 25 homes in upper St. Bernard Parish with most of those receiving very minor damage. A few businesses also received damage and several trees and utility poles were knocked down. Most of the damage was caused by high winds associated with Gustav.
