Zeta hurricane force winds downed hundreds of power poles along with trees an power lines. At the peak, almost two thirds of the parish was without power. A large carport was collapsed and torn from a house and there was also siding and roof damage to hundreds of homes.

Temperatures were below freezing for approximately 60 hours from the evening of January 20th through the afternoon of January 23rd. The coldest period was the morning of January 22nd when air temperatures and wind chills into the 10 to 20 degree range across the parish.

Several inches of snow fell across the parish beginning in the early morning hours and tapering off mid afternoon. The highest reported amount was 11.5 inches in Gray.

Delta produced minor impacts due to tropical storm force winds. Peak wind gusts were estimated in the 50 to 60 mph range. The USGS station at Caillou Lake reported sustained winds of 44 mph and the Houma Airport reported a peak gust of 44 mph.

Frequent tropical storm force wind gusts affected the parish. The strong winds caused a tree to fall on a mobile home, injuring two children who were inside.

A trained spotter relayed reports of several power lines blown down and power poles snapped due to gradient winds in Chauvin, the Bourg-LaRose area, and Coteau Road in Houma, as well as Bayou Dularge Road.

A local resident reported that sleet was beginning to accumulate in Houma.
