Tornado F4 Tornado
A tree fell onto a Dodge Ram truck traveling on the road. The tree went through the trucks windshield and entered the passenger compartment, killing a 36 year old woman passenger.
Trained spotters reported one to three inches of snow and one to two tenths of an inch of ice on top of the snow.
A 17-year old male was killed while driving his pickup truck in dense fog. His truck collided with a dump truck hauling a trailer. Dense fog, which reduced visibility to near zero, was said to have been the cause of the accident. The accident occurred in Lapeer County's Goodland …
Numerous roads were flooded and closed. The most significant road damage was M-53 south of Imlay City which was washed out and had to be closed for about 10 days. Over two dozen homes were also damaged due to the flooding. A local state of emergency was declared.

During the afternoon and evening hours on June 30th, the observation from Lapeer (KD59) had heat index values reach 105 for numerous hours. Heat index values did not fall below 85 that night.
