Thunderstorm winds downed multiple trees just east of Millersburg.

Thunderstorm winds blew off part of the roof of North Callaway Middle School. The missing portions caused rainwater to damage the floors of some classrooms and the gym. The gym floor needed full replacement.

An amateur radio operator reported a measured wind gust of 68 mph in Auxvasse.

Thunderstorm winds downed multiple tree limbs in the area. Billboards were blown away and an RV was tipped over at the I-70 RV Center. Multiple RVs were damaged.

The KJEF ASOS measured a 66 mph thunderstorm wind gust.

The NWS surveyed straight-line wind damage at a farm north-northwest of Kingdom City. Photos of the damage were provided by county law enforcement and showed extensive damage to multiple farm outbuildings. Large, healthy tree branches were also snapped on the property.

A garage was destroyed and a large tree branch fell onto a pickup truck. A power pole was also snapped.

A period of very hot and extremely humid weather began on Sunday, August 20 and lasted through Friday, August 25. The combination of heat and humidity led to heat index values at the nearby Columbia ASOS reaching as high as 118.

Thunderstorm winds blew down several trees at the intersection of Highway E and County Road 283, west of Hatton.

Thunderstorm winds blew down numerous trees across the southern portions of Callaway County. Several trees were blown down onto U.S. Highway 54 near Guthrie. Also, several trees were blown down onto Highway 94 near intersection with Highway AA and near Portland.

Up to four inches of rain fell in a 4 hour period causing flash flooding. Numerous roads were flooded including Highway DD north of I-70, Highway M north of I-70, and U.S. Highway 54 near Auxvasse.
