Flash flooding occurred across the central and eastern part of the county. There were vehicles flooded with numerous impassable roadways in and around the Sugar Land and Rosenberg areas. There was one drowning fatality.

A 56 year old male driver of a vehicle drowned when he lost control on a water covered roadway on FM 1462 near the Fort Bend-Brazoria County line. The vehicle overturned and landed upside down in a deep ditch filled with water. The victim was discovered after 6 AM.
