A drowning in the Lewis River near Yacolt, WA is indirectly related to the hot temperatures as the victim likely went to the river to gain relief from the heat . The victim was a 44 year old man that drowned after jumping from the rocks at Moulton Falls.

The Glenn Jackson I-205 Bridge over the Columbia River (ODT08) recorded a max sustained wind of 45 mph with a max gust of 60 mph. The max wind gusts at this location were likely higher as the station lost power a few hours into the event and thus stopped reporting.
