There were around 100 almond trees uprooted during a thunderstorm on March 17. It has been determined from a review of radar and damage photos that the event was due to straight line winds, estimated at 70 mph.

A lightning strike in Oakdale ignited a fire in several Italian cypress trees. The flames spread to nearby vegetation and then to a mobile home, which sustained moderate damage. A second mobile home sustained minor heat damage.

Half inch hail, 1 to 2 inches deep, covered area roads. This resulted in slick road conditions and did some minor damage to a mobile home carport, from the weight of the accumulated hail.

An EF0 tornado with swirling debris was observed near Hickman elementary school by a Sheriff's deputy and several members of the public. A large eucalyptus tree was uprooted, a shed was moved off its foundation and pushed into a fence, and a green house was damaged.

EFO tornado damage was confirmed in Ceres from Davis Rd. to Vinewood Dr. by a NWS damage survey team. A carport collapsed causing damage to a house. Several houses, trees and fences were damaged. The tornado was only on the ground for a brief time.
