The tight pressure gradient across the Bering Strait and northern Bering Sea resulted in Northeastly wind gusts from 40 to over 60 mph over the marine area and along coastal capes. The strongest winds were reported at the Teller AWOS (PATE) where gusts to 60 mph were observed.
