Snowfall totals generally ranged between four inches and eight inches across the county. Snowfall total of 8.0 inches was reported at (4 S) Burnt Mills. Snowfall total of 7.0 inches was reported at (7.7 SSW) Elizabeth City. Snowfall total of 5.0 inches was reported at (1 NNE) Lynch's Corner.

Wider weather episode

The combination of high pressure to the north funneling cold, Arctic air into the Mid Atlantic region, and low pressure tracking northeast off the Carolina coast produced snowfall totals between three inches and eight inches across much of northeast North Carolina.
