Pelican Cooperative Observer reported 6.6 inches of new snowfall overnight.

Wider weather episode

A short wave moving over the top of ridge across the gulf of Alaska will spread overrunning snow to the northeast gulf coast and towards the Cross Sound area Tuesday. Eventually shifting south for the Petersburg/Wrangl area Tuesday night. The front eventually dropped into the southern Panhandle by mid-day Wednesday.
