A peak gust of 84 mph was recorded at San Augustin Pass. Other gusts in the zone included 59 mph at White Sands Missile Range Building 1830 and 58 mph at the White Sands Museum.
The wider storm
An upper level trough was moving through the Four Corners region with a deep surface low over eastern Colorado. Southwest winds ahead of the system reached 84 mph over the Organ Mountains.
