The status of the drought remained unchanged through the month of June. The extreme (D3) drought persisted across the western half of the zone while severe (D2) conditions continued elsewhere through the end of the month.

Wider weather episode

Near to below normal precipitation persisted across much of eastern Utah during the month of June, which allowed the drought conditions to remain unchanged for the region.
