Event narrative

A funnel cloud was observed near Panguitch by a Fire Behavior Analyst from the Left Fork Fire. The funnel could extended about one-third of the way down from the cloud base.

Wider weather episode

An increase of monsoonal moisture resulted in multiple storms with microburst wind gusts in northern Utah, as well as flash flooding in portions of southern Utah.
