Event narrative

Severe to extreme drought conditions from October 2022 improved to moderate to severe drought through November.

Wider weather episode

November 2022 was much drier for most of the state with only a couple snowfall events across the northern high terrain. Very little improvement was made to drought conditions as most areas picked up less than one-quarter inch of precipitation for November. By months end, roughly 18 percent of the state was in severe to extreme drought, of which about 3 percent was extreme drought.
