A tree was blown onto a power line and roofing materials were flying off and damaging cars.

The wider storm

A deep upper trough moved through the Western United States with strong southwest flow including a 120 knot jet ahead of it across southern New Mexico. Several reports just short of 60 mph were received with some damage near the White Sands Headquarters.
