2022-11-29 to 2022-11-30 · Bremerton and Vicinity, Washington
Event narrative
A winter storm brought heavy snow to portions of the Kitsap Peninsula at the end of November. Areas around Bremerton generally received less than 1 inch of new snow, while neighboring areas on the peninsula received around 7 inches of snow, for instance, Seabeck. Areas around Poulsbo received around 4 inches of snow.
Wider weather episode
An early season winter snow brought heavy snow to portions of the lowlands. Deep upper level troughing along with Fraser outflow near the surface supplied the proper set up for winter weather. Dynamic cooling also played a major role in areas of heaviest snow, especially around Kitsap, King, and Snohomish Counties.
