A peak gust of 79 mph was recorded at Salinas Peak on the White Sands Missile Range. Other gusts included 67 mph at San Augustin Pass and 59 mph at the White Sands Missile Range Museum.

An upper low was moving near the International Border with a 120 knot jet ahead of it. Strong winds ahead an approaching cold front gusted up to 79 mph at Salinas Peak.
