Multiple SNOTEL sites in the Sierra Madre Range reported 48-hour liquid precipitation totals of 0.3 to 0.6 inch. Snow-to-Liquid ratios were estimated at approximately 10 to 1. Maximum snowfall totals were estimated near 6 inches over the highest peaks.
Wider weather episode
A strong weather disturbance brought widespread precipitation to southeast Wyoming from late in the evening on 4/24 through the early morning hours on 4/26. Snowfall accumulations were restricted to the higher elevation areas, with most of the Sierra Madre, Snowy, and Laramie Ranges only seeing 3 to 6 inches of snow. Localized pockets of 6 to 8 inches were observed over the highest peaks.
