Moderate snow fell across the Kitsap Peninsula late in the day on Feb 25 and continued through the morning hours on February 26th. In general, most snowfall reports ranged from 1 inch or less, but areas nearing the Hood Canal reported around 4 inches of snow.

Wider weather episode

Much coler air infiltrated Western Washington at the end of February, after a relatively quiet three quarters of the month. The heaviest snow fell between the 25th and 26th, with reports of over 4 inches across many lowland zones.
