Observer reported 6 inches of snow near Loon Lake. Newport and Colville also had reports of 4 to 6 inches of snow.

Wider weather episode

A cold upper level trough brought continuous waves of moisture across the region for March 8 through 10. These waves generated wide spread snow shower activity. Most areas received snow amounts of two to five inches. A few areas received six plus inches.
