Local media reported a highway fatality (indirect) when a car spun on an icy road, crossed the median into the oncoming lane and struck another car. The roads in the area were reported as very icy.
A motorists traveling along State Route 211 was thought to be using excessive speed for the icy conditions when his car slid off the road, hit a ditch, and went airborne. The car eventually came to rest on its tires but the driver was killed in the accident.

Bus carrying school children slid of the road and flipped on its side in Springdale. The accident occurred on Cementery Road near Highway 231. There were twenty-seven children on board the bus and eight of the children were transported to the hospital with injuries.
