Washington DOT reported downed trees partially blocking SR 25 north of Hunters near milepost 44.

Wider weather episode

A strong dry cold front moved through Eastern Washington on May 31. Wind speeds across the Basin ranged from the upper 30 mph range to low 50 mph range. Highest wind gust of 55 mph was reported by a RAWS station in Douglas. Winds over Northeast Washington ranged from 20 to 40 mph. These winds were strong enough to knock down trees over some of the highways in the area.
