Observer wet snowfall amounts over a 12-hour period included 6 inches at Stambaugh and Iron River. A couple of large tree limb were reported down in Iron River from the heavy snow.

Wider weather episode

Deep moisture wrapping around a low pressure system over the Upper Great Lakes resulted in moderate to heavy snow over west half portions of Upper Michigan from the evening of the 29th into the morning of the 30th.
