NOAA recorded where this tornado touched down but not where it lifted, so it appears as a point. Other tornadoes recorded nearby that day are shown faint.

What EF0 means. On the Enhanced Fujita scale, EF0 is light damage: shingles and siding peeled, gutters torn, branches broken, consistent with estimated gusts of 65–85 mph. The rating comes from a survey of the worst damage after the storm, not from a wind measurement, so it says as much about what the tornado hit as about how strong it was.

What the National Weather Service wrote

Media and other storm chasers and storm spotters observed a brief tornado in southeast Norman. Windows were broken and shingles were damaged on a mobile home near 96th Avenue SE to the south of State Highway 9.

The wider storm

A deepening upper/low pressure system slowly approached portions of the Central Plains on the 11th. Combined with increasing instability and wind shear, a favorable environment for severe weather (capable of producing all severe hazards) developed across much of western into central Oklahoma on the evening of the 11th. Numerous supercell thunderstorms developed and produced twelve tornadoes and large hail across portions of these areas.

Began near Lake Thunderbird Dam (35.1790, -97.2970).
