Estimated SNOTEL amounts were 12 inches at Wildhorse Divide and 9 inches at Sedgwick Peak. Other lower elevations with populated areas had generally 4 to 6 inches including Lava Hot Springs measuring 5.0 inches.
Wider weather episode
A cold front moved through eastern Idaho with heavy mountain snowfall and very high winds mainly in the Arco Desert. Gusts over 70 mph were recorded and interstate 15 shut down on the 5th north of Idaho Falls. High mountain locations received over a foot of snow.
