Estimated SNOTEL snowfall amounts were 18.2 inches at Sedgwick Peak and 12.1 inches at Wildhorse Divide.

Accumulating snow measured 2 to 8 inches with a 6.9 inch report from a CoCoRaHS observer north of Inkom and a 2.5 inch report measured at a COOP site in Downey.

Snowfall reports from around the hills south of Pocatello include a 10 inch report from just southeast of Inkom, a CoCoRaHS report of 6.5 inches north of Inkom, a 4.0 inch report from Inkom, and a 4.5 inch report from Downey. Multiple wind reports of 45 to 50 mph also reported.

Storm totals ranged from 2 to 6 inches across the lower elevations, to 8 to 15 inches across the higher elevations including 11.1 inches at Sedgwick Peak, and 6 inches at Wildhorse Divide.

Wind chill temperatures of colder than -20 affected the Marsh and Arbon Highlands with the coldest measured at -22 three miles east of Lava Hot Springs.

A pickup truck flipped over on interstate 15 west of Inkom at 1039 AM MST. Total snowfall totals were 8.5 inches 6 miles north of Inkom, an estimated 13.6 inches at the Sedgwick Peak SNOTEL site and 9.2 inches at the Wildhorse Divide SNOTEL site.

Extremely heavy and wet snow fell. 8 inches fell in Lava Hot Springs, 9 inches fell in McCammon and the Inkom area reported between 12 and 22 inches of snow. Their was a transformer explosion in Inkom overnight on the 1st into the morning of the 2nd with extensive power outages.

COOP snow totals were 9 inches at Inkom and 6.5 inches at McCammon. SNOTEL estimates were 34 inches at Sedgwick Peak and 11 inches at Wildhorse Divide. Marsh Valley School District 21 was closed due to hazardous road conditions on the 28th.

Coldest temperatures recorded on the 30th were -29 Downey, -21 Lava Hot Springs, and -20 Inkom. Wind chills were in the -30 to -40 range. Due to the extreme cold Marsh Valley School District 21 and Rockland School District 382 were closed on the 30th.
