Numerous reports of 60 mph wind gusts from Ambient Weather Station just east of the city of Bozeman.

Summer thunderstorms developed across primarily south central and southwestern Montana in early July. Several of these storms produced large hail and strong gusty winds. The strongest storms impacted the Bozeman area and Canyon Ferry Lake recreational area.
