On 9/27 at 8:30 pm, the NOS gage at Kings Bay Pier recorded a peak water level of 2.46 ft MHHW datum. Moderate flooding begins at this location at 2.5 ft MHHW. On 9/28 at 9:30 pm, the gage reached 2.39 ft MHHW datum.
On 9/27 at 9:30 pm, a USGS gage at Cumberland Island Sea Camp Dock measured a peak tide of 2.13 ft MHHW. Moderate flooding begins at 2.2 ft MHHW at this location. On 9/28 at 9:30 pm, the gage reached 2.05 ft MHHW datum.

Coastal hazard potential increased through the week as high astronomical spring tides coincided with a persistent onshore flow pattern. Coastal hazards include increasingly strong and frequent rip currents, beach erosion and minor to moderate tidal flooding along the coast, within the Intracoastal Waterway and St. Johns River basin.
