A large section of a tree was blown onto a home. Several power poles were leaning with one being snapped during the thunderstorm.

Wider weather episode

A weak cold front drifted into Central Louisiana during a heat wave. The very hot and unstable airmass ahead of the boundary produced a round of severe weather with high wind gusts and downed trees.
