The entire zone remained in Severe(D2) drought. The Cooperative Observer at White Sands National Park recorded 1,.47 inches of precipitation which was normal for the month.

Wider weather episode

Another month with most areas receiving below normal monsoon season precipitation lead to all areas of southern New Mexico being put into Severe(D2) to Exceptional(D4) drought.
