A heavy, wet snow accumulated 2 to 4 inches across the Champlain Valley of eastern NY.

A slow moving cold front meandered across northern NY during the afternoon and evening hours of December 10th with a weak area of low pressure developing along that front and moving across eastern Massachusetts during the December 11th.
A mild, wet December 10th slowly turned snowy from west to east and higher elevations to lower elevations during the evening and overnight hours of December 10th before ending by midday on December 11th. Snow was heaviest in elevations above 1500 feet in western Essex county which led to approximately 2000 customers without power and hazardous travel.
