The Wales (PAIW) AWOS reported blizzard conditions for a number of hours. In addition to the blizzard conditions, wind gusts of up to 59 mph were reported.

A series of strong fronts pushed east across Northern Alaska. Heavy snow, strong winds, and blizzard conditions accompanied these fronts.
