Event narrative

A couple of inches of snow combined with 50 to 65 mph wind gusts caused interstate 84 to be closed from 633 AM to 849 AM near mile marker 258 in the Sweetser Summit area due to an issue with a semi. At 946 AM an 18 wheeler was blown over on interstate 84 near mile marker 229 south of Yale Road. Visibility between 1/4 and 1/2 mile occurred from 2 AM to 315 AM northwest of Idahome on the interstate.

Wider weather episode

A strong cold front brought high winds, light snow and travel concerns mainly on interstate 84 from Burley to the Utah State Line. Some power outages occurred as well.
