Event narrative

Three hours plus of 1/4 mile visibility or less and 2 to 4 inches of snow causing extensive blowing and drifting closed State Highway 75 north of Shoshone to Timmerman Hill. Blaine County Schools were closed due to the blizzard.

Wider weather episode

A strong cold front moved through Idaho with snow, strong winds which caused blizzards in several zones and extensive travel problems. Many roads closed with wind gusts exceeding 50 mph in nearly all of southeast Idaho.
