Event narrative

Strong south winds developed through Windy Pass late in the evening on the 12th and continued into the early evening of the 13th. The DOT Antler Creek mesonet station reported a peak gust of 81 mph during the event.

Wider weather episode

A front moving to the north over the Alaska Range brought high winds near passes along the north side of the range.
