Scotts Bluff Emergency Manager and KNEB station manager reported blizzard conditions in Scottsbluff for well over 3 hours. Snow ranged from 2 inches in Scottsbluff to 12 inches in the Wildcat Hills south of Scottsbluff. Wind gusts were in excess of 58 mph during this time as well. Widespread power outages were reported across Scotts Bluff County.

Blizzard conditions were observed across the southern Nebraska Panhandle the evening of 6 April through the morning of 7 April. Widespread power outages from blown down and ice ladened power lines reported across the southern Nebraska Panhandle with over 2000 power poles blown down. Emergency Managers reported blizzard conditions during the event. Total estimated cost of the combination of strong winds and blizzard conditions was 7.6 million dollars.
