The Gustavus COOP recorded a minimum temperature of 26 degrees in the morning of the 1st. The nearby AWOS station at the airport also measured temperatures at or below 32 degrees between midnight and 7am with a minimum of 27 degrees.

Wider weather episode

Clearing skies allowed temperatures to dip to 28 degrees over portions of the inner channels in the early morning hours of May 1st.
