A strong low pressure system brought heavy snow to portions of the San Bernardino County Mountains March 14-15. Snowfall of 5 to 8 inches occurred in the Pine Cove area, reports ranging from 6100' to 6500' in elevation.

Wider weather episode

An upper level low pressure system brought precipitation and thunderstorm impacts to Southern California March 14th through the 16th. The main weather impacts were due to flooding and mountain snow, but a significant amount of lightning was also observed.
