A large tree snapped near the base of the trunk and fell onto a mobile home causing total destruction to part of the home along SE Beadie Dr. Time was estimated by nearby AWOS station KLCQ Lake City that measured a gust of 71 mph at 7:35 AM EDT. No injuries were reported.
Wider weather episode
Several rounds of strong to severe storms impacted NE FL and SE GA ahead of a cold frontal passage. The 1st wave arrived during the morning hours, and the second one with the cold front in the afternoon. Damaging winds of 55-75 with the morning Training of storms produced localized flooding rainfall across inland SE GA and the Suwannee River Valley.
