Victim was driving a 1997 Toyota 4Runner eastbound on Baya Lane, when a lightning bolt struck a large pine tree. The tree fell on his vehicle and the victim was struck and killed by a branch which penetrated the front windshield. Source Gainesville Sun 6/18/03.
