Hail reported by law enforcement accumulating at the cross section of hwys' 101 and 299, 2 miles north of Arcata, CA. LAT. 40.90N 124.08W.

A deep trough brought widespread hail showers and snow to Northwest California. Heavy snow of several feet was measured in the mountains while the hail showers resulted in numerous traffic accidents along the coast.
