Union Pacific Railroad mesonet station WILCX1 (UP263) measured maximum wind gust 5 miles north of Rock River at 10:46 PM MDT on 5/6. Laramie Airport ASOS station (KLAR) also measured a 63 mph wind gust.

Late season system initially brought mountain snowfall to southeast Wyoming before an extended period of widespread strong winds gusting over 70 mph along the Laramie Range foothills.
