Law enforcement reported quarter sized hail 3 miles west northwest of Hayfield. Reported that hail was covering the ground.
Wider weather episode
On May 20th, isolated severe thunderstorms produced large hail up to half dollar size across southeast Minnesota. Additionally, two brief landspout tornadoes occurred in Dodge county during the evening hours.
