Strong winds persisted throughout much of the afternoon in Dodge County on February 28th with a measured peak wind gust of 59 mph at a Mesonet located 2 miles east of Kasson.

Minimum wind chills on the morning of February 18th fell to between 35 to 45 degrees below zero. The coldest observed wind chill in the county was 41 degrees below zero just east of Kasson.

A vehicle accident occurred on highway 14 near Kasson during the morning hours of February 8th. Between 1 to 2 inches of snow had fallen across the county on the 8th and snow covered roads were reported by Minnesota State Patrol at the time of the incident.

Dangerously cold wind chills began on the evening of the 20th and continued through noon on the 21st in Dodge County where values dropped to 35 to 45 degrees below zero. The coldest observed wind chill of 45 degrees below zero in the county was observed west of Byron, MN.
