Hail accumulated up to 1/2 inch deep with sizes around 0.375 inches at their largest. This occured 3 miles to the northeast of Freshwater, CA. LAT. 40.80N, LONG. -124.04W.

Wider weather episode

A deep trough brought widespread hail showers and snow to Northwest California. Heavy snow of several feet was measured in the mountains while the hail showers resulted in numerous traffic accidents along the coast.
