Cow Bayou, Cole Creek, and Terry Gully all reached moderate flood stage during a slow moving line of thunderstorms. This caused flooding of nearby areas including roads in Mauriceville.

A series of upper level disturbances moved across Southeast Texas early in the month of May causing multiple rounds of flooding and severe weather.
