An increasing low level jet into the morning of May 26, along with increasing moisture return ahead of a warm front over Missouri led to the development of scattered but elevated showers and thunderstorms across much of Iowa. Though the majority of storms were non severe, an isolated report of one-inch hail occurred in Sac county.
