Rainfall in the middle and later portion of March helped to improve hydrologic conditions across Sac county by the end of the month with severe drought ending in the county.

Above normal temperatures and below normal precipitation allowed severe drought conditions to persist across far southeast Sac county.

Severe drought persisted in far southeast Sac county during January with temperatures and precipitation near normal. This did little to help improve the longer term dryness across the area.

Severe drought conditions remained across far southeast Sac county through December with above normal temperatures. Rainfall was above normal but did little to alleviate drought conditions, particularly longer term deficits.

Tornado was found using high resolution satellite imagery. Tornado had a curved path through open agricultural fields. There was no damage to damage indicators, hence the EFU rating.

Severe drought affected Sac County as above normal temperatures and below normal rainfall occurred during August.

Despite a few different periods of rain during the month, severe drought conditions persisted in Sac County during July.

Severe drought expanded into Sac County by the middle of June as dry conditions and very warm temperatures persisted. These conditions remained through the end of the month.

Brief tornado captured on video by a storm chaser northeast of Schaller. Tornado remained in open crop field with no impacts to damage indicators, hence the EFU rating.

Decent rainfall during the 1st half of May helped to reduce the severe drought to moderate drought across Sac county. Some longer term residual dryness persists.

Spring precipitation remained at a slight deficit across portions of Sac county, mostly the northwest during April with severe drought persisting. Some improvement to dry conditions were noted in the southeast portion of the county.

Severe drought conditions persisted across much of Sac county during March as below normal precipitation and stream flow continued.

Severe to extreme drought occurred in Sac county in February although this improved to only severe as wet conditions and some thawing allowed infiltration of water into the ground.
