Large hail was reported across Macon, with the largest measured stone being 3 inches in diameter.

On the evening of Sunday, May 26th, storms developed over northern Missouri on the backside of a surface low, moving northwest to southeast through the area, producing large hail and a few damaging wind gusts. The town of Macon was hit twice by two separate storms, with the first bringing reported measured hailstones of 3 inches.
